Many people embody “afrocunt” without even knowing it. Your aunty who managed to divorce her deadbeat husband - is afrocunt. Your braider who snatches your scalp with a baby on her hip, phone in her hand, and a pick in her mouth - she’s afrocunt. Your big cousin who didn’t let anybody shame her out of wearing that dangerously hot mini skirt - she’s afrocunt. Those of us who aren’t “model minorities” – are afrocunt. Anyone in, and of the diaspora, with an impenetrable self concept unburdened by Whiteness or the west as a construct, is afrocunt.
